Veenine folder gluer and tray erecting machine sold to Sun Print & Pack
New Delhi-based Vijaya Grafiks, a manufacturer of carton folder gluers, displayed a folder gluer with advanced features at PrintPack 2022. Vijaya Grafiks also launched a clamshell machine or automatic carton erecting machine, an indigenously developed equipment used for producing fast food and takeaway boxes such as hamburger boxes, 4-corner trays, sweet boxes, and meal boxes. The company sold its Veenine folder gluer and tray erecting machine to Sun Print & Pack at the show.
In its live demonstrations, the company showed a window patcher with liner carton attachment. Vijaya Grafiks has two units, one in Mayapuri, New Delhi, and the second in Greater Noida for its machines aimed at food and pharma packaging. Focused on the production of sustainable and environment-friendly biodegradable boxes, that are cost-effective, the company claims it has around 700 installations for its folder gluing machine in the country.
Prasanth Kumar BR, director of Vijaya Grafiks, speaking about its folder gluer, said, “At Vijaya Grafiks, we believe in updating our technologies, and in every Printpack Show, we introduce new technologies in folder gluers. This time, we made many changes to the machines in their existing designs, so the folder gluer machine is running at a speed of 350 meters a minute. The complete machine contains precision components, for quality of production.”
In conclusion, he noted, “The demand for folder gluer machines is increasing day by day, and we see a lot of scope for sales. The Indian government is also promoting exports, and we Indians in the packaging industry should also promote make in India products.”
The Covid-19 pandemic led to the country-wide lockdown on 25 March 2020. It will be two years tomorrow as I write this. What have we learned in this time? Maybe the meaning of resilience since small companies like us have had to rely on our resources and the forbearance of our employees as we have struggled to produce our trade platforms.
The print and packaging industries have been fortunate, although the commercial printing industry is still to recover. We have learned more about the digital transformation that affects commercial printing and packaging. Ultimately digital will help print grow in a country where we are still far behind in our paper and print consumption and where digital is a leapfrog technology that will only increase the demand for print in the foreseeable future.
Web analytics show that we now have readership in North America and Europe amongst the 90 countries where our five platforms reach. Our traffic which more than doubled in 2020, has at times gone up by another 50% in 2021. And advertising which had fallen to pieces in 2020 and 2021, has started its return since January 2022.
As the economy approaches real growth with unevenness and shortages a given, we are looking forward to the PrintPack India exhibition in Greater Noida. We are again appointed to produce the Show Daily on all five days of the show from 26 to 30 May 2022.
