In modern food retailing, sustainable and inexpensive store concepts are more in demand than ever. To meet the high demands in terms of product presentation, the Troisdorf-based company Eco-Retail Ltd has developed a modern presentation display for herbs. The process is designed to enable optimum product and brand presentation and thus significantly boost sales, comments the company.
The basic module includes, among other things, two straight grid shelves, a rollable display, an attachment for marketing and three tubs for watering the potted herbs. "Overall, the size of our herb station is equivalent to a quarter of a pallet, which again is in line with the trend toward saving space and increasing sales in a small space. Hereby, we enable clear herb placements and an optimal brand presentation at the pulse of time," says Jürgen van Herp, the company's sales manager.

Building up additional business The process is not only used in the vegetable department of modern food retail stores, but also on bread counters and in garden centers. Van Herp: "Our presentation display is modularly expandable as well as available in all retail formats and accordingly versatile. Regardless of the area of application, the modular process enables the establishment of additional business at so-called frequency points, for example in the case of a promotion or seasonal items."
The module is already being used for presentation of fruit and vegetables.
At this year's Fruit Logistica in Berlin, in addition to the herb station, other innovative solutions for product presentation - such as the already proven vegetable inserts - will also be in the spotlight.
